How we write

Editorial Policy

If you're reading this after an accident, accurate information matters. This page explains how we write and check our pages, who reviews them and how to tell us about a mistake.

Who writes our content

Our pages are drafted for the firm, sometimes with the help of writing tools, including AI. Every page is written for people, in plain English, to explain California law and what to do next. It's general information, not legal advice.

How we check the facts

  • The legal rules we describe link to the official source, such as California statutes on the Legislature's website, federal regulations on eCFR or the Judicial Council's civil jury instructions.
  • Medical facts come only from official public health sources, such as the CDC.
  • We don't publish made-up numbers, results, reviews or claims. Case results and reviews appear only when they're real, with the required disclaimers next to them.
  • We avoid promises about outcomes. Every case depends on its own facts.

Attorney review

Before a page with legal information shows a line that reads "Reviewed by," a licensed California attorney at the firm reviews it. The line includes the attorney's name and the date of the last review, linked to the attorney's bio and to this policy.

We add that line only after a real review. If a page doesn't show it, the attorney review isn't finished yet.

How we keep pages current

We review our legal pages regularly and update them when we learn the law has changed. Each reviewed page shows the date of its last review.
